Last updated Sep 23rd, 2026

**View a complete, real-time picture of an account—combining Salesforce data with engagement signals, contacts, and AI-powered insights.**

## Why this matters

Use Account Profiles to:

- **Understand account health and engagement at a glance**
- **Identify buying signals and prioritize outreach**
- **Uncover gaps in coverage (missing contacts, inactive stakeholders)**

## What is an Account Profile?

An **Account Profile** provides a unified view of everything Common Room knows about an account.

This includes:

- Salesforce data
- Associated Contacts
- Signal activity (product, community, web)
- AI-assisted research
- Job listings and news
- Scoring and firmographic data

👉 Think of the Account Profile as your **single source of truth for account intelligence and action**

## When should I use this?

Use Account Profiles when you want to:

- Prepare for account outreach or meetings
- Assess account engagement and intent
- Identify key stakeholders and gaps
- Monitor account changes over time

## Who is this for?

- Sales teams
- Customer Success Managers
- RevOps / GTM Operations
- Marketing (account-based strategies)

## Quick Start

1. Open an Account from the **Accounts page**
2. Review **key fields and signals at the top**
3. Explore tabs (Contacts, Activity, Web Visits, etc.)
4. Take action (e.g., import contacts, create segments, outreach)

## Account Profile Overview

Each Account Profile is structured to give you both:

- **At-a-glance insights** (top of page)
- **Detailed exploration** (tabs and sections)

You can customize which key fields appear at the top of the profile in your **Common Room Settings**.

## Top Section (At-a-Glance Insights)

### About Section

Displays:

- Account description
- Tags applied to the account
- Firmographic details from Salesforce (industry, employee count, account type)

### AI Research (RoomieAI)

Use **RoomieAI** to research an Account directly within the profile.

You can:

- Run pre-built research prompts
- Ask custom questions
- Combine internet data with AI-generated insights

Once generated:

- Save results as **team notes** attached to the Account

💡 _Use this to quickly prep for calls or uncover strategic insights_

### Key Fields

Key fields highlight the most important Salesforce and custom data at a glance.

Examples:

- Opportunity Stage
- ARR
- Account Owner
- Contract Renewal Date

**Customization:**

- Configured by Admins in Common Room Settings

### Contact Lists

Contact list widgets surface important stakeholders associated with the Account.

Examples:

- **Economic buyers** → Contacts who meet criteria for decision-makers
- **Economic buyers not in Common Room** → AI-identified potential stakeholders not yet tracked

💡 _Use this to identify coverage gaps and expansion opportunities_

## Account Profile Tabs

Each tab provides a deeper view of the Account. Tabs can be filtered independently.

Displays all Contacts associated with the Account.

Contacts include employment status labels:

- Active stakeholders
- Missing CRM coverage

**Exporting Contacts:**

2. Review suggested contacts
3. Select contacts and click **Import**

Imported contacts:

- Appear in the Contacts tab

## FAQs

### What is the difference between an Account and an Organization?

An Account is a Salesforce record representing a commercial relationship.

An Organization is Common Room’s unified view of a company across all signal sources.

Both can represent the same company and are linked where possible.

👉 For GTM workflows, use **Accounts** to stay aligned with Salesforce.

If missing:

- Check domain alignment
- Confirm Salesforce association

Yes. The Prospector tab allows you to:
